The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Local Police, gives talks to the elderly on 'How to act in case of being a victim of a crime', with the aim of ensuring the care and safety of old people.
Older people are part of a risk group, due to the decrease in their psychophysical conditions, which makes this group especially vulnerable, being victims of situations such as theft or fraud.
For this reason, the Department of Social Services considers it necessary to provide the elderly with the necessary information to prevent such situations both at home and outside.
This Monday, November 18, one of them took place in the Milagrosa building, taught by Victor Javier Navarro, municipal police and criminologist, and that was of great interest for the elderly, since it was focused both on prevention and crime performance, providing them with the necessary tools to avoid being victims of a robbery or fraud.
The elders who attended this talk gave their testimony of the situations in which they have been victims of a crime.
