A toy, a smile ', will follow the main objective of ensuring that no child under 12 is left without receiving a gift on the night of Reyes |
The Toy Collection Campaign 2019 is launched organized by the City Council of Cartagena through the Department of Social Services, in collaboration with other departments and the help of citizens, as well as numerous companies, entities and agencies of the municipality.
Under the motto “TOY.
A toy, a smile ”, a message is launched in this way to solidarity with the little ones, with the main objective that no child under 12 years of age is left without receiving a gift on the magical night of Kings.
Prior to the start of the campaign, in order to organize and request collaboration, the Councilor for Social Services met last Monday, November 18, with representatives of various entities that will collaborate with the delivery of toys such as The Spanish Navy, School of Marine Corps, National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE), Polytechnic University of Cartagena, San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM) and Practiser.
The campaign will begin with the Press Conference on December 12 at 11:00 in the courtyard of the San Miguel Administrative Building, with the assistance of collaborating entities that want to do so, as well as representatives of the different departments and entities that have requested toys.
In this act the Rondalla of the Club of Elders of Alumbres will participate with a small repertoire of Christmas carols.
The Only Toy Collection Point will be operating between December 12 and 27 (Monday through Friday) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
in the courtyard of the Administrative Building of the City Council of Cartagena, on Calle San Miguel with a group of volunteers.
Any citizen who wants to collaborate can do so by buying a new toy and deliver it directly at this Pick-up Point or through the collaborating entities, who will collect toys among their associates, workers, customers, etc., and who will subsequently send them to the Point Collection of San Miguel Street.
