The Municipal Auditorium and Conference Center El Batel will be the headquarters of science throughout this week with activities scheduled by Repsol in its already third edition of the Week of Science and Energy.
From this Monday, November 18, and until the 23rd, more than 3,000 primary and secondary school students from educational centers throughout the municipality will visit the different auditorium rooms where they will learn an efficient use of energy and values on the care of the environment, as well as developments in the technological field through games and experiments under the slogan 'Have fun learning'.
The mayor of Education, Irene Ruiz, did not want to miss this already consolidated event, together with the deputy director of Personnel and Organization of Repsol in Cartagena, Luis Roque, who have made a tour this Monday for the various activities throughout the auditorium.
Among the workshops that are being carried out, “Petroleum explorers”, “The race of the energy mix”, “Transporting CO2” and “The puzzle of the circular economy” stand out.
You can also enjoy the play "The hidden story of the light bulb", in which the little ones will approach Edison and Tesla in their discovery, or "Mission Journey the Moon.
50 years after the arrival of man on the moon ", another show by the hand of physicist Dani Jimnez.
In addition to El Batel, science will take to the streets with visits to the Roman Forum in the activity 'Archeastronomy in Carthago Nova', “Bloopsbusters Caf” in collaboration with the Cartagena International Film Festival and the Scientific and Technological Culture Unit of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, who will also hold the III Championship of the Energy Mix Challenge.
As a novelty, the week will close with a show in the street of scientific monologues by Big Van Ciencia on Saturday at Juan XXIII square.
