About thirty carriages from different areas of Spain gathered at the Alfonso XII Dock in Cartagena, in the heart of the city's Port, to host the III national contest of traditional hooks.
150 people and 50 horses filled with color and elegance on the morning of Sunday, November 17.
The Councilor delegate of Sports of Cartagena, Diego Ortega, closely witnessed the beauty of the horses and carriages participating in this contest that is already consolidating itself as a classic among the contests of the city.
The contest featured typical carriages from the Campo de Cartagena, as well as from Alicante, Seville, Malaga and Almeria.
First there was a stop at the Alfonso XII Pier, where the participating carriages were evaluated by the jury.
After the first sight, they marched to the Cuesta del Batel, where they performed maneuver exercises in different categories.
The Club of Enganches de Cartagena-Cultural Association Auriga has organized this event, which has had the collaboration of the Department of Sports, Tourism and Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
