On Monday, November 18, the Deslinde Poetry Festival has two events of special relevance.
At 8:00 p.m., at El Soldadito de Plomo Cafeteria (C / Príncipe de Vergara, 1), the Festival presents the newly born editorial LA ESTÉTICA DEL FRACASO, a new editorial for avant-garde writers.
It will be presented by its creator, the editor, bookseller and poet Vicente Velasco Montoya.
In the words of Velasco: "... The Aesthetics of Failure Editions was born one afternoon in the Magic Mountain bookstore while we talked some friends about all those texts that, unfairly, did not have that minimal editorial output, whether due to ignorance, oblivion or not abide by the current canons. That is why we intend to make room for any avant-garde literary expression. We intend to be that halo of freshness and light that, although it is bound to the sunset, illuminates the national literature. "
Vicente Velasco, manager of the La Montaña Mágica de Cartagena bookstore, has published to date the poetry books No Lugar (Diputación de Jaén, 2012), Principle of gravity (Editorial Balduque, 2015) and With all this background noise or The empire of the fireflies (Chamán Ediciones, 2018).
Then, the editor will present the first title of the publishing house: A TREE IN OTHERS (The Aesthetics of Failure, 2019), by Alberto Chessa Sánchez.
This fourth poems of Chessa, A tree in others, with which The Aesthetics of Failure starts, is, in the words of its author, «a sort of verification of how fragile one's identity is when some draft events (unfortunate ones) , other successful ones) take control of living and end up turning everything upside down ».
Alberto Chessa (Murcia 1976) has been living in Madrid for two decades.
Finalist of the Adonáis Prize with his book of poems The Bone, and with two other published titles, represents and exhibits in this A tree in others as a poet close to the classics and lover of the most thrown and reckless aesthetics of the current literary landscape.
Alberto, without a doubt, is called to be one of the voices that are remembered in the not too distant future.
In the morning at 12:30 in the Reception Hall of the City Hall (Town Hall Square, s / n), the Public Reading Ceremony of the XXXIII Antonio Oliver Belmás International Poetry Award and a small recital will take place of the poems of the winner.
All the events of the day are free admission, until full capacity is reached.
