This Tuesday, November 19, the promotional concerts of the 23 edition of Entre Cuerdas y Metales, the contest for young Classical Music performers of the Region of Murcia organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena with the collaboration of the Conservatory of Music of the city.
These concerts give the opportunity to the winners of the last edition of the contest, to participate as soloists with the Cartagena Symphony Orchestra (with Chamber Orchestra format) conducted by Leonardo Martínez, in three concerts that will take place in different parts of the Murcia region.
In the words of the Director of the Cartagena Symphony Orchestra, “It is an honor and a luxury to play with these young people who come out of the contest and who have so much talent, young people who over the years become very professional and national references and even international.
All interpret concerts of great level, great works of the repertoire for these instruments, when many of them have not even finished the professional degree, and that however their level is already of a superior or similar to any professional that we can find in the circuit national playing with the great orchestras â€.
This year, as a novelty, all the soloists will play in the three scheduled concerts that will be in: the Multipurpose Hall of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Murcia, Tuesday November 19 at 18: 40h .;
Wednesday 20 at 7:30 p.m.
in the Vico de Jumilla Theater;
ending on Thursday 21 at the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, starting the concert at 7:30 p.m.
The soloists, awarded in the 22nd edition of the contest between strings and metals are:
Marcos García Barrera (violin), who will perform the I mov.
of WA Mozart's Concert No. 3
Alberto López Bernal (horn), who will play the I mov.
of WA Mozart's Concert No. 4
Paula Soriano Ibáñez (saxophone), who will perform the Concert Op. 109 by A. Glazounov
Daniel Madrid Jordán (flamenco guitar), will be accompanied by the singer Mamen Fernández and at the box by the last winner of the Filón International Prize Festival of the Cante de las Minas, Alejandro Solano, a work arranged by Andrés Pérez: Callejón del aire.

As in the previous editions of Entre Cuerdas y Metales, the contest is dedicated to a composer, being this year the honoree Lv Beethoven, to be celebrated in 2020 the 250 years of his birth.
The tribute will begin with the performance of the Cartagena Symphony Orchestra in each of the concerts of the first movement of one of the quartets composed by Beethoven, arranged by Leonardo Martínez for String Orchestra: String Quartet No. 11 in Fa m, Op 95 "Serious"
