The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) will work in the fields of research, training and dissemination in the prevention of occupational hazards through the Terra Próspera Chair in Occupational Risk Prevention, created jointly with the University of Murcia and with the Terra business group It thrives in the Mediterranean.
The objective of this interuniversity chair, which has been presented at the University of Murcia, is to develop collaborative activities in the fields of research, training and dissemination in the prevention of occupational hazards, in which both university professors and students will participate as professionals of the sector.
Likewise, integral and sustainable solutions for the prevention of occupational hazards will be promoted.
The dissemination and transfer of knowledge in the field of management and development of occupational risk prevention will also be favored, both in its academic aspect and in its application.
Any relevant aspect will be studied in any of the three prevention specialties (Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology, Occupational Safety and Occupational Health) for sustainable management and development.
The chair also provides for collaboration in the organization and delivery of training courses, conferences and educational cooperation;
Expert meetings will be promoted through conferences and conferences;
Students' participation will be encouraged through practical training and awards for final studies and doctoral thesis.
