This morning, the San Miguel administrative building has hosted the first meeting of the legislature of the Mesa de la Reforestación, a work forum created at the request of MC in February 2017, who collected the proposal of the CreeCT association, to promote recovery from the vegetation cover of the mountains of Cartagena.
It should be remembered that the Mesa has already suffered the paralysis of its work with the arrival of the Transfuge City Hall, Ana Belén Castejón, during the last term.
In that case, MC, after repeated violations of the mayor for eight months, convened a meeting in June 2018, since the last appointment dated November 2017.
This has been stated by the councilman from Cartagena, who has been "delighted" that meetings will occur again, regretting at the same time the shortage of them in the last year and a half, qualifying 2018 as a lost year.
Subsequently, it has assessed as positive the time of the meeting to define the measures to be developed during the fall and winter, in addition to anticipating that MC will participate in a reforestation organized by neighbors in La Aljorra on December 1.
A revenge paid for the environment
Due to an incomprehensible desire for revenge and lack of interest, Castejón, from his Mayor's Office, threatened the continuity of the Plan for the recovery of the vegetation cover of the municipality promoted by MC and demanded by society.
At this point, Giménez has added that this situation has resulted in "some plantations lost in previous years being lost."
Thus, the former Socialist Executive stopped watering reforested spaces such as the hill of the Moors or La Aljorra, ending a few months of fruitful work in which the Tentegorra Canal walk benefited;

Initiatives that only required continuity and that if they have not suffered major damage is due solely to the magnificent work carried out by associations such as CreeCT, Arba Cartagena or ANSE, who have tried to replace the absence of institutional support.
Future actions, financing and political will
