Cartagena Puerto de Culturas has organized, together with the Roman Theater Foundation, a fam trip that for two days has made known the virtual reality technologies implemented in the Museum of the Roman Theater and in the Barrio del Foro Romano.
Around 40 tourism and school services companies, travel agencies, hotels, official guides and tourist offices have been able to discover first hand the resources that will provide visitors with a better interpretation and understanding of the two great archaeological sites of Cartagena.
Attendees have been able to enjoy the immersive reality offered by virtual glasses in the Roman Theater, flying over virtually the entire premises of the old spectacle building and attending a fragment of a play as if it were a spectator more.
In the Barrio del Foro Romano, the virtual recreations of the buildings and their vision in 360º views through a tablet, an application that was presented this week, have allowed them to recreate the banquets that were held in the Atrium Building, in the rituals that were officiated in the Sanctuary of Isis or in the route that the bathers did in the hot springs.
In short, the invited companies have been able to transport themselves to Cartagena from 2000 years ago.
Visitors will be able to experience these new technologies with the passes scheduled for the weekends of November, December and January, both at the Roman Theater at 11:00, and in the Barrio del Foro Romano, at 12:00.
The purchase of these activities is done at www.cartagenapuertodeculturas.com or in person at any museum in the Cartagena de Culturas network.
