The Spanish Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Council (CERP) has awarded Cartagena with the 'Prize for the best social organizational initiative related to health protection in 2018' thanks to the municipal project 'Cartagena, cardioprotected city'.
This prize places Cartagena at the head of the Spanish cities that have a cardio-protection plan, following the objective of protecting the health of citizens and visitors who pass through the main roads of the city.
On the occasion of the recognition of the work that is carried out from different sectors of the country that promote life support and knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, this year the III edition of the 'CERP Awards' will be held.
Cartagena will collect this award during the celebration of the III National Congress of CERP on November 22 and 23 in Madrid, which recognizes the achievements that this project has achieved during the last two years.
From the Department of Finance, New Technologies and Interior on which the Project depends, the mayor of the area, Esperanza Nieto, thanks in Cartagena's name the honor of receiving this prestigious national award and that has fallen to a municipal body, which has as main goal of working towards and for the health of all Cartagena and those who visit us.
Recognizing the great work that is being done for the project and the total support of this Government to it, but also the work of the team of municipal officials headed by its director, Antonio Pastor.
Since its creation 20 years ago, CERP has as its objective the implementation of initiatives that promote the improvement of survival, bringing together a total of 23 scientific societies, institutions and entities with experience in teaching, promotion and assistance in Life Support .
