The Local Government Board, meeting extraordinary this morning, under the chairmanship of Vice Mayor Noelia Arroyo, has approved the project to apply for the Local Public Employment Program grant convened by the Employment and Training Service of the regional administration, which will consist of the hiring of 28 unemployed workers who will be responsible for cleaning and adapting the coastline and green spaces in neighborhoods, districts and neighborhood boards.
The Board has also approved the inclusion in the catalog of rural roads of the municipality of Cartagena de los Escabeas, in Tallante, while requesting the extraordinary help of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the settlement and strengthening of its firm as a result of the damage caused by DANA.
It is a road about three kilometers long that runs from Tallante to the vicinity of La Manchica.
The Board has also agreed with the grants granted by the regional administration for the development of actions to support family and children, by the Department of Social Services, for an amount of 306,428 euros to cover staff costs;
as well as another of 26,854 euros corresponding to temporary reinforcement actions of professionals in the Social Services centers affected by the DANA and improvement of actions of the primary care social services centers.
Finally, among other matters, the Board has also approved a budget modification of some 22,600 euros for the implementation of courses in the Employment and Training Service by the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE);
and another of about 8,000 euros to deal with the cleaning of the archaeological sites with a view to Christmas, while a new process of contracting this service begins.
