This Thursday, November 14, the Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero de Castro' will host the presentation of his next Piece of the Quarter, which this time falls on “Five teeth of the African primate Theropithecus oswaldi of Cave Victoria”, an activity organized by the Association of Friends of the Enrique Escudero de Castro de Cartagena Municipal Archaeological Museum (MVSAEDOMVS) with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City Council of Cartagena.
It will be at 7.30pm.
These are fossil remains of five teeth that belong to children, children / youth and adults / old individuals.
It is estimated a minimum of 2 to 3 different individuals found inside Victoria Cave brought and eaten by the great hyenas that inhabited the cavity a million years ago.
The presentation ceremony will feature the subsequent lecture by the Doctor in Prehistory, Olaya Garca Nos, of the Paleolithic Studies Laboratory Group and responsible for the inventory of the Victoria Cave fossil collection.
This will be under the title "Theropithecus oswaldi: the African primate that came from North Africa to Victoria Cave."
Admission will be free until capacity is reached.
