The municipality of Cartagena will have one and a half million euros from the State Administration to carry out emergency works in the coastal areas affected by the storm last September.
The delegate of the Government in the Region, Francisco Jiménez, and the head of the State Coasts Demarcation in Murcia, Daniel Caballero, have supervised the start of the works, on the promenade of Los Nietos.
The term of execution of these and other works on the coast is expected to be five months, so that for Easter we can enjoy our beaches again.
The councilor of Public Road, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has highlighted the necessary 'understanding between the three administrations and the absolute availability of the town hall to achieve a discharge 0 to the lagoon', has demanded the execution of other necessary works within this period as the withdrawal of reeds and dirt in the area near the Nautical Club of Los Nietos, or the removal of sludge and dry in Los Urrutias, Carmolí and Estrella de Mar ',
