The City Council of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia have taken a new and decisive step for the transfer of the Franco Deposit to the future Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of Los Camachos, upon reaching an agreement on the right of reversion that the Cartagena council will have on the land, guaranteeing the rights of both administrations.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, have met this morning with the directors of Enterprise and Development, Ana Martínez and José Ramón Diez de Revenga, to unlock this situation, which will allow the transfer to take cape.
According to the agreement reached, the Cartagena City Council will maintain the same rights that it currently has on the ground of the facilities of the Franco Depository, next to the Hospital of Santa Lucia, with the equivalent value and for the same time, in the new land of The Camachos
In this way, the City Council fulfills its part of the commitment acquired with the Autonomous Community, without detriment to the municipal coffers.
The mayor has shown her satisfaction with this agreement.
"We have taken another step to make the Logistics Activities Zone a reality as soon as possible," he said.
