Civil Protection of Cartagena has opened the registration period to be part of its Volunteer Group, so that until November 30, those interested, who must be over 18, have a deadline to submit their application.
In order to be a Civil Protection volunteer in Cartagena, a series of requirements must be met, apart from being of legal age, such as not suffering from a disease or physical, psychological or sensory defect that prevents the performance of the assigned functions;
pass the psychotechnical tests that will be performed on the applicants;
have Spanish nationality or residence permit in Spain;
reside in the municipality of Cartagena;
have the Academic Degree in ESO and have a driving license B.
Along with the registration form that can be obtained on this link, the following documentation must be submitted: photocopy of the National Identity Document, updated CV, photocopy of the driver's license, medical certificate, a license-sized photo and a certificate of no possess a criminal record and non-existence of sexual crimes.
After the deadline for submission, the list of admitted volunteers will be published on the website of the City of Cartagena and new applicants will be given appropriate training to the performance of their work, through basic courses in Civil Protection, Communications, First Emergency interventions, Lifeguard and Defibrillator Use, which will be taught at ESPAC.
Cartagena Civil Protection recalls that belonging to the Volunteer Association does not imply any labor or official relationship with the City Council.
It is also noted that volunteers give their time to the city altruistically, without financial compensation.
This call, which is held annually, is intended to complete a volunteer exchange in which there is no limit of members to attend the events and events that are held in the city throughout the year, such as the of this 2019, which has reached 95 volunteers.
