The main purpose of 'Climate change, the giant that threatens the earth' is to raise awareness of the most important environmental problem on our planet, which threatens future generations, as a result of maintaining an unsustainable lifestyle and consumption habits, showing that the development of certain consumption habits may be the key to winning the battle for Climate Change.
In the talk we will analyze how it originated, its consequences, and how to stop it.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Cayetano Gutiérrez Pérez (Cartagena, 1954) has a degree in Chemical Sciences, from the University of Murcia, Professor of Physics and Chemistry, Freelance Scientific Dissemination, Writer, and Lecturer.
Throughout his long teaching career, he has held positions of responsibility in the management of School Centers, such as, Director, Head of Studies, Head of Department, Collaborating Professor at the University of Murcia.
It has 16 teaching publications, in which important and varied educational innovations are introduced and has published 57 articles in different journals.
In recent years he has specialized in scientific dissemination writing "Fisiquotidianía, the physics of everyday life" (2007), edited by the Academy of Sciences of the R. de Murcia.
Its contents have been broadcast on radio stations, nationwide (SER, COPE, ZERO WAVE, REGIONAL WAVE OF MURCIA, RADIO POINT, etc.), with more than 497 collaborations.
His ethical commitment to the Environment led him to write: "The action against climate change" (2009), edited by the University of Murcia, described by the "Terra Foundation" as "... vital manual for environmental awareness" .
His latest publication "Climate change, the giant that threatens the Earth" (2018), is a self-publishing, in which it is highlighted that the development of certain consumption habits and lifestyles, can be the key to winning the battle to Climate Change.

It can also be a great help to teachers, to explain climate change.
On the other hand, for many years he has been director, speaker and head of the Area of ​​Experimental Sciences of numerous activities of teacher development, in several Centers of Teachers and Resources, both in the Area of ​​Experimental Sciences, and in the Training of Management Teams , and as a speaker in courses and as a scientific disseminator, he has given many conferences to different groups: Teachers, Management Teams, Primary, Secondary and University students, and the general public.
