The Department of Infrastructure and Coastline is carrying out the repair of some of the streets of Los Nietos most affected by the DANA that hit the municipality of Cartagena last September, which has caused the timely cut of them, as well as the arrangement of damaged street furniture in this area of ​​the Cartagena coast.
With an investment of 30,000 euros, municipal operators have been working since last Thursday in the maintenance work on roads of La Marina Avenue, Isla Grosa Street, Dentón Street and Gallinetas Street, which are located in the 'Los Nietos area where the temporary caused major damage and where the city has wanted to make an effort to give a quick response to the neighbors', as explained by the mayor María Casajús.
These works are being carried out while the Coast Demarcation is conditioning the Miguel Hernández promenade, which covers the stretch from Punta Brava to Los Urrutias, to repair the damages caused by DANA, within the emergency actions that will continue in the promenade of Los Nietos and Playa Paraíso, to recover its good condition.
In addition, noted Casajús, Infrastructure will invest 'another 30,000 euros to replace the urban furniture of damaged beach areas, with are walkways, wastebaskets, foot washers and pergolas'.
