The Agency of Local Development and Employment of Cartagena has carried out a Practical Course of Ham Cutter, which has aimed to respond to the training needs expressed by the hoteliers and take advantage of the new business opportunities offered by the consumption trends of the population.
Last Thursday, October 31, the closing ceremony was held in the La Milagrosa building with the delivery of diplomas to the 12 students who have completed this technique by the Councilor for Employment, Irene Ruiz.
During the 25 hours of the course, all of them have learned the complete professional cutting technique of a ham.
In recent years, the demand for ham cutters is increasing.
Not only in restaurants but also at weddings, baptisms, communions and other events.
Therefore, a good professional must know well what is the proper technique to cut ham, identify the product, its morphology and its origins;
Learn to choose the most appropriate tools and know how to make the best presentations.
The ADLE ACTIVA program is committed to innovating by training in new, more competitive fields, where there are business opportunities.
To meet these needs, the ADLE asked Hostecar for information on what kind of courses would be convenient to take in the municipality to meet the demand for quality professional training, resulting in the implementation of two courses, one of ham cutter and another sushi chef, who have completed the available places.
The objective of the Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena is to adapt the training provided to the real needs of each economic sector.
