Through a European project, the Trainer 1.0 BETA model will be tested in different EU countries through pilot experiences in sports training, aimed at young athletes, interested in professional preparation as a sports coach in football, basketball, handball and volleyball.
Within the effort that the Catholic University of San Antonio has been making since its foundation to encourage athletes to acquire the necessary training that guarantees them a good personal and professional future, since yesterday and until tomorrow the UCAM Campus in Cartagena hosts an international meeting of experts from Spain, Poland, Albania, Macedonia, Italy, Greece and Cyprus.
This is the second meeting in the Cartagena campus of the Catholic University of the entities participating in the European Erasmus + Trainer 1.0 Beta project, led by the Polish association IRONMAN and whose organizing partner is the headquarters of the UCAM Cartagena.
The project is based on promoting the dual career of studies and sports in athletes between 14 and 18 years old, with the objective of promoting positive behavior among young athletes, focusing on obtaining their first technical knowledge of the sport as coaches.
At the same time it is intended to raise awareness and raise awareness of the need for young European athletes to think of an 'exit strategy' within the world of sport, identifying and formalizing a model called Trainer 1.0 BETA, which is validated at EU level by experts in education and training and by sports federations.
The project will test the model in different European countries by training pilot experiences in sports training, aimed at young athletes, interested in professional preparation as a sports coach in football, basketball, handball and volleyball.
This training includes in the program for young coaches through a seminar dedicated to individual professional planning.
The program of this workshop will be prepared on the basis of previous projects, already implemented and validated by Erasmus + Sport Collaborative Partnerships.
The project attempts to establish local promotional campaigns, coordinated at EU level, capable of identifying a testimony of level athletes and 'using it' as a model for young generations, oriented towards communication and social networks, aimed at promoting a culture of sport and the need to think about an alternative career after sport.
