The president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Alberto Castillo Baños, has attended the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, which has been developed in the Paraninfo of the University.
Castillo, along with other authorities, has previously visited an exhibition with prototypes of competition, built by associations and teams of the School of Industrialists of the UPCT, which has become - he has said - a reference for different Spanish and Latin American universities.
The event, which has distinguished 59 graduates with better academic records in their title during these two decades, has been attended by a broad representation of the Assembly, among which were the second secretary of the Chamber of the Chamber, Emilio Ivars , and the deputies Alfonso Martínez Baños, Francisco Lucas, Manuel Sevilla and Carmina Fernández, for the Socialist Parliamentary Group;
the spokesman Joaquín Segado, and the deputies of the Popular Parliamentary Group, Víctor Martínez-Carrasco and Miriam Guardiola, as well as the spokesman for the Vox Parliamentary Group, Juan José Liarte.
To questions of the informants, Alberto Castillo has remembered that he lived in first person the process of creation and foundation of this university, promoted by Cristina Gutiérrez-Cortines, and, by Juan Ramón Medina Precioso.
The president of the Assembly has praised the trajectory of the UPCT, "pride for the city of Cartagena, and for the Region of Murcia."
