The Aljorra is full of flavors and aromas this Saturday, November 2 with the celebration of the III Fair of Beer and Artisan Cheese.
Five brewers from different parts of the Spanish Mediterranean and four cheese from Campo de Cartagena will propose to the attendees a trip through different tastes and elaborations of the area, as well as Alicante and Almeria.
The event is organized by the Association of Merchants of La Aljorra.
The City Council of Cartagena collaborates in it.
The second deputy mayor and councilor for Tourism, Health, Commerce and Consumer Affairs of Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has presented this fair with the president of the Association of Merchants of La Aljorra, Damián Martínez.
From 11 to 23 hours, the Civic Center of La Aljorra will offer beers and artisanal cheeses from different companies in the Campo de Cartagena.
Among the breweries, there will be one from Torre Pacheco, Trinitaria beers, another from Cartagena, Cervezas Batel, and Canana de La Aljorra.
There will also be a brewery from Valencia and another from Almeria.
In addition, there will be a representation of businesses of this delegation from Cartagena.
As for the cheese, all will come from the Comarca del Campo de Cartagena: San Isidro, La Yerbera de Pozo Estrecho, La Quesera de Tallante and Quesos Ruperto de San Javier.
Beer and cheese will not be the only protagonists of the day in La Aljorra.
During the day, there will be two concerts: one at 2 pm and one at 6 pm.
In addition, the little ones will have a toy library available from 17 to 21 hours.
To conclude the day, there will be a conference on the History of beer in the Region of Murcia from 20 hours by the Spanish Club of Coleccionsimo Cervecero (CELCE).
The mayor of Tourism, Commerce, Health and Consumption of Cartagena Manuel Padín has said about the fair that "has become a reference for the entire Region" and other communities in Spain.
In addition, Padín says that this event "serves to boost trade and tourism throughout the municipality, promoting that other neighborhoods and councils are encouraged to organize events that serve to promote their populations."
