The Interuniversity Council of the Region of Murcia has approved the modification of the indicators so that the universities of the Region meet the objectives of the contract-program and obtain additional financing.
In the meeting, in which the rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Díaz, and the vice-rector of Economic and Strategic Planning of the UPCT, Antonio Durendez, have been approved, it has been approved to assess more the bilingualism of the teaching and research staff, as well as to establish new anti-plagiarism controls for final studies and doctorate.
In addition, it is intended to align the objectives of the program contract with quality indicators of the international rankings. In addition, in the strategic lines of the program-contract, more will be committed to the development of dual training.
If the UPCT complies with the proposed new requirements, it would obtain an additional million euros.
So far, recalls the Vice Chancellor for Economic Planning of the UPCT, "the requirements have been met one hundred percent."
Durendez also informs that the Minister of Universities, Miguel Motas, has indicated that the new multi-annual financing plan will begin to be negotiated "soon" and that in the next regional budgets the program contract will be given "more prominence."
