The Association of Friends of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena (MVSAEDOMVS) convened the fourth edition of the Antonio Acosta Hernández Photography Contest, in homage to its first president.
The contest is focused on the archaeological heritage, since we know that Archeology brings us some material goods with a historical, cultural and aesthetic value that give us back the essence of the people who lived in each historical framework.
With this contest, and its subsequent exhibition, it is intended to pose a challenge to the photographer's gaze so that it picks up that essence and captures these values, at the same time, that serves to disseminate the fabulous archaeological heritage that our Region has.
The first edition focused on the archaeological heritage of Cartagena and Comarca, but from the second edition, it extended to the entire Region of Murcia.
The works, unpublished and original, either in color or in black and white, were presented until October 6 at the headquarters of the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero de Castro'.
In total, 35 works were submitted.
