The music of the three armies will be united again for solidarity in the XIII edition of the Cartagena for Charity concert that will be held next Saturday, November 9 at the El Batel Municipal Auditorium and Congress Hall by the Third Unit of Levante and the Music Unit of the General Air Academy.
As every year, the Cartagena Charity Association for Charity organizes this solidarity concert, this occasion for the benefit of Little Sisters of the Poor, the Spanish Association Against Cancer and Debra Skin of Butterfly.
This gala was presented on Monday, October 28 at the City Hall with the presence of the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, by the delegate councilor for Culture, Carlos Piñana, together with the president of the organizing association, Matías Barco, the director of the Tercio de Levante, Commander Jaime Enguidanos, and the director of the Music Unit of the General Air Academy, Captain José Manuel Castelló.
"For the second consecutive year Cartagena can enjoy two of the best musical formations of our armed forces," said the councilman, in this gala that last year he managed to fill the auditorium, with a repertoire for all audiences, military but also popular and which will have the voice of Cartagena tenor Pablo Martínez.
There will be around 100 musicians who will go on stage, starting at 6.30 pm with a program prepared by both directors that will open the piece 'You are my life' with an arrangement for bands that will premiere at this concert, and then continue with Spanish works together with the tenor and romanzas, gypsy folklore, the performance of soloists of both bands and a work with the collaboration of the School of Municipal Dance of Cartagena.
It will continue with the military part in which they will perform 'The site of Zaragoza' with the arrangement for Cristóbal Oudrid's band, also having a small nod to Cartagenera Holy Week and a tribute to the general and recently deceased musician, Francisco Bravo.
Tickets, which are priced at 8 euros for the amphitheater 2, 10 euros for the amphitheater 1 and 12 euros in stalls, can be purchased on the website www.auditorioelbatel.es or at the ticket office of the auditorium and the New Circus Theater .
All proceeds from the tickets will go to the three charities.
