The Youth Resource Center will live the night of terror ´ Sometimes I see shorts´ (28/10/2019)

Continuing with Halloween activities, the T-LA (Alternative Free Time) program of the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena will be held this Thursday, October 31, at 10 pm, the 5th Edition of the Horror Short Films' En Sometimes I see shorts. '

This activity will be held at the 'Cristina Esparza Marín' Youth Resource Center.

'Sometimes I see shorts' is a short film contest that was born five years ago as another activity, within which the Department of Youth organizes, to celebrate Halloween night.

However, throughout this time it has been consolidating.

Proof of this is the amount of short films that have been presented this time to the event, doubling the number of the previous edition.

In this fifth edition, a total of 119 works have been received, from 13 countries (Spain 95, Mexico 4, Argentina 4, Belgium 3, Brazil 2, France 2, United Kingdom 2, Colombia 2, Andorra 1, Canada 1, Peru 1, South Korea 1, and the United States 1).

The jury of this edition has been composed by Silvia Conesa and Cristóbal Terrer.

Silvia Conesa is an actress, director and producer from Cartagena.

His short film 'Evströnger' has been selected in more than 100 festivals around the world.

With his screenplay of the short film 'Hamelin', he won the 5th International Screenplay Competition Abcguionistas.

As an actress she has worked in theater, video clips and television.

Cristóbal Terrer is a marketing specialist, writer and blogger.

His blog seriemaniac.com is one of the most important in its subject.

As a writer he has entered both fiction, with his novel 'Cameron', as in the essay.

His latest book is 'Seriemaniac', where his facet as a blogger and as a writer come together.

The final selection thus includes 8 short films from Spain, Canada, Andorra and Belgium.

After the session, the public will vote for the one that considers the best short film of this V Edition, receiving the winner an economic prize of € 500.

Likewise, the Youth Resources Hall will dress up for the occasion and all the participants will be welcomed by strange beings that will accompany them to their seats.

Admission is free until full capacity is reached and access will be limited for over 16 years.
