Once the expulsion of the councilors who attended under the acronym of the PSOE to the last municipal elections has been made official, and that the socialist municipal group has disappeared, we expected the government coalition to act with the utmost prudence regarding the consequences that the expulsion must have, among them the loss of the material resources and eventual personnel assigned to the municipal group.
However, yesterday we heard that the local government board has decided to maintain the eventual and trustworthy staff that the socialist municipal group had, consisting of five people, assigning them to the mayor's office.
We believe that if so far this staff was not necessary in the mayor's office, it makes no sense that it is now, and we suspect that they will continue working for the non-assigned councilors, ex-PSOE, who have no right to have this staff.
Therefore, we consider that this decision constitutes a law fraud, and from VOX Cartagena we ask for the resignation of Mayor Ana Belén Castejón and we believe that the Popular Party and Citizens should leave the municipal government so as not to be complicit in this alleged illegality.
