Los Dolores Campus will host this training on the discipline studied by the human body through measurements and evaluation of its size, shape, proportionality, composition, biological maturation and body functions in order to understand the processes involved in growth, exercise, Nutrition and sports performance.
The Universidad Católica San Antonio has planned to conduct a Cineanthropometry course at the Los Dolores Campus with accreditation from the International Society for the Advancement of Cineanthropometry (ISAK), in which participants will acquire practical and theoretical knowledge about this science.
Changes in lifestyles, nutrition, the practice of physical activity and the ethnic characteristics of populations cause changes in body measurements, with cineanthropometry being the science in charge of measuring the human body and determining the influence of these factors on measured variables, as well as looking for body performance optimization of sports performance.
Specifically, the general secretary of the ISAK and professor in Cineanthropometry at UCAM, Francisco Esparza, and the anthropometrist and member of the ISAK Executive Committee who is a professor at the UCAM School of Sports, Raquel Vaquero, will be responsible for teaching the course in which the necessary knowledge will be acquired to carry out an anthropometric assessment and interpret its results following the standards of the ISAK, a society with more than 25,000 accredited in anthropometric measurement worldwide.
