Urban culture and sport go hand in hand with the UrbanCTFest (23/10/2019)

On Saturday, November 9, Cartagena will be filled with sport and urban culture with the celebration of the third edition of the UrbanCTFest of the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena.

Throughout the day, the Carlos III Urban Sports Park will host Beat Box, Loop Station, Graffiti, Street Art, Dijing, Scratch or Skate competitions for the enjoyment of young Cartagena.

There will also be exhibitions of Parcour, Urban Dance or Bike Trial, among other disciplines.

This event has the collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare and Equality.

The Councilor of the Cartagena Youth Area, David Martínez, presented the program of activities this Wednesday, October 23 with the Cartagena graphic designer Arturo Mateo.

The mayor of Youth highlighted the most significant features of UrbanCTFest 2019, “it is mainly characterized by being participatory, that is, our proposals are aimed at all the artists and athletes who practice and people who are interested in these modalities.

We do it not only by promoting competition and entertainment, but we also create a space for coexistence and enrichment through the exchange of experience. â€

The event will feature numerous competitions for the enjoyment of young people.

There will be Beat Box and Loop Station tournaments, which have become two of the most important events in all of Spain.

There will also be a Graffiti and Street Art competition, which will have a format that will distinguish both modalities.

These tournaments have more participants registered for this new edition.

In addition, ambassadors of the National Graffiti League will be present at the competition.

There will also be room for Dijing tournaments, in which different DJs will play songs and be selected blindly.

In addition, there will be Mcs, Skate and Scratch tournaments.

Not only from competitions does the UrbanCTFest live.

It also includes exhibitions of Parkour, Free Running, Breaking, Tricking, Rap, Scooter, BMX, Calisthenics, Work Out, Inline Skate, Urban Dance, Bike Trial, Slackline, Krump and Body painting.

Registration can be made until November 9.

It should be noted that there will be an exhibition of Tattoo, the only one authorized to date at a festival in the Region of Murcia.

In addition to tournaments and exhibitions, this third edition of UrbanCTFest will feature free Parkour, Slackline and Graffiti workshops.

The latter will be dedicated to the recovery of the Mar Menor.

Likewise, there will be an urban market in which products related to the different activities to be carried out can be purchased.

The concerts will also have their place in this year's program.

Neusi, Aryón and DJ Charlybcn will perform live for all attendees, and will be the orchestra of the program La Resistencia de Movistar +, Grison.

The posters of the third edition of the festival are the work of the Cartagena designer Arturo Mateo, who explained that the design of the posters has a photographic base with which you can easily recognize each of the disciplines that will be part of the programming of this year.

The UrbanCTFest is organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena.

In addition, the departments of Equality and Social Welfare collaborate.

Therefore, there will be a violet point to raise awareness among young people about gender equality and a stand on the municipal drug prevention plan.

Civil Protection will also be present to train on general risks.
