The Vice Chancellor of Information Technology and Communications of the UPCT, Mathieu Kessler, has been in charge of inaugurating the training sessions INDIeAuthor, which throughout this week will try to teach teachers of the IES Valle de Leiva de Alhama, IES Miguel de Cervantes de Murcia and IES Infanta Elena de Jumilla, belonging to the "Digital Centers" program of the Region of Murcia, as well as representatives of institutes, colleges and educational authorities of Lithuania and Greece, the keys to the elaboration of educational content that can be hosted on the INDIe platform developed by the UPCT to be shared online.
The objective is to train teachers so that they can offer high quality education and help them adopt new learning methodologies.
In addition, UPCT teachers, pioneers in the development of content that will become the basis of the new online teaching platform of the UPCT, both for their official titles and for continuing education courses, also attend the training sessions. thus one of its strategic lines.
The Erasmus Plus INDIe project, 2018-1-ES01-KA201-050924, co-financed by the European Commission, is now celebrating its first year of life.
It is designed to boost digital educational resources in teaching and promote the implementation in the classroom of active learning methodologies, such as inverted classes, or even allow the creation of material for online or semi-classroom teaching.
The Eramus Plus INDIe project is led by UPCT and has the participation of the Directorate General for Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Polytechnic University has already developed the tool that they now put in the hands of teachers, who thanks to this training week will learn to develop the online learning units that their students can use or that they can share with other teachers, in a shared repository and open, INDIeOpen.
During the first day of training of teachers for the development of online digital content, the UPCT has had the Professor of Educational Technology of the Department of Didactics and School Organization of the University of Murcia, Paz Prendes, who has given attendees some keys to optimize content creation and a recipe book of good practices that should govern the production of educational resources.
