Cartagena dyed pink this past Saturday, October 19 for World Breast Cancer Day.
The local delegation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer organized a solidarity party full of activities in the Town Hall Square.
This solidarity event was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and the councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez.
During the day, many women wove a solidarity quilt at an association stand and prepared and sold small crafts to raise money for the AECC Cartagena.
In addition, attendees were able to enjoy various dance performances.
There were not only acts in the Town Hall Square but also at night the Peral Submarine fountain had special lighting for this occasion.
The fountain of the Alfonso XII promenade is dyed pink to support women who fight and survive Breast Cancer.
