At the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Adecco Foundation has celebrated its 20th Anniversary under the honorary presidency of SSMM the Kings of Spain and the participation of the Minister of Employment, Migration and Social Security, Magdalena Valerio Cordero.
Within this framework, the CEO of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi;
the president of the Adecco Foundation, Enrique Sánchez and the employer of the Adecco Foundation, José Isaías Rodríguez, have presented the Alliance #CEOPorLaDiversidad and the signing of the commitment of the first CEOs has been carried out to promote diversity policies in their companies .
In this way, 60 CEOs of large companies with activity in Spain have decided to accompany the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation in this act to formally publicize their commitment.
This Alliance's mission is to unite the CEOs of the main companies in Spain around a common and innovative vision of diversity, equity and inclusion (De & I) acting as drivers and ambassadors to help accelerate the development of strategies that contribute to excellence business, the competitiveness of talent in Spain and the reduction of inequality and exclusion in Spanish society.
Magdalena Valerio, Minister of Employment, Migration and Social Security, has stressed that this alliance "reinforces and confirms the role that the management of companies has in promoting the strategies of Diversity and Inclusion from senior management, through the research, exchange, development and promotion of strategies and good business practices of diversity, equity and inclusion ".
For Magdalena Valerio, these strategies are fundamental to "achieve the objectives related to decent work, which dignifies and allows the development of one's own abilities and is carried out respecting labor principles and rights without discrimination of gender or any other kind".
The president of Navantia, Susana de Sarriá, who has signed the Alliance #CEOPorLaDiversidad, has signaled the firm commitment of this public company with the fundamental values ​​of diversity, equity and inclusion, as they enrich the company and strengthen its competitiveness.
Therefore, it undertakes to promote diversity strategies in companies, to involve the Steering Committee and to create a common vision of diversity.
