The Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena will be the scene of the International Congress ICOFORT Spain 2019, held from October 23 to 26, with the aim of disseminating knowledge of the industrialization of caste fortification (x.XIX-XX) and of the models of management and conservation of the Military Patrimony in the national and international scope.

The congress has an interdisciplinary nature, with the participation of professionals from all fields related to knowledge, valorization, management and exploitation of culture and heritage.

The sessions will be divided into three themes, Historical research (military architecture and coastal batteries - 19th-20th centuries), Models of sustainable management, and Conservation and re-use (military architecture and coastal batteries - 19th-20th centuries).

The Cartagena City Council collaborates in the event.
