In total, 62,973 people traveled to the past, specifically, to the Middle Ages, to see first hand the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, the Treaty of Tordesillas, the redemption of Granada, the Spanish Inquisition or the expulsion of the Moors.
Some of the historical events that were experienced in Spain during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs and that the RTVE series 'Isabel', issued from September 10, 2012 until December 1, 2014 and starring Michelle Jenner and Rodolfo Sancho , has reflected throughout its three seasons and 39 episodes.
The Castle of the Conception hosted until September 30 an exhibition on the television series, consisting of 25 suits, armor, swords, coins, prayer books, wills and navigation objects.
The exhibition, organized by Cartagena Puerto de Culturas and in which the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena collaborates, got 10 percent more visitors than last year had this museum space.
The exhibition on the first most important female historical character in the History of Spain, which has been shown in more than 30 Spanish cities, featured an intense poster of complementary activities that has had high satisfaction and a great reception by the public.
Visitors have been able to enjoy theatrical visits of 'Yo, la Reina', 'La Aventura de Colón', medieval dinners, gastronomic tastings or children's activities throughout the summer where the little ones dressed up as princesses and knights of the Middle Ages.
