The Navy in collaboration with the City of Cartagena has organized for October 11 and 12 a series of cultural and informative events in Cartagena on the occasion of the celebration of the "National Holiday Day", which will begin with a tribute to the flag by means of a solemn arriado and the touch of prayer on Friday at 19.33.
The event promoted by the City Council of Cartagena along with the Armed Forces, will take place on the esplanade of the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba, on the Alfonso XII pier.
A Mixed Honors Company formed by sections of the Army of the Earth, Army of the Air and Navy will participate, which will be accompanied by the Music Unit of the Third of the Levant, a Cannon Battery of the Regiment of Artillery Antiaircraft No. 73 of the Army of Earth that will perform the ordinance and a mixed flag carrier detachment.
The evolution of the participating troops will begin to register at around 7 pm, with completion scheduled at 7:40 pm.
After this event, there will be a commemorative concert by the Music Unit of the Third of Levant, guided visits to the Arsenal of Cartagena, visits to the Maritime Action Force ships, exhibitions of static and informative material of the Navy, Infantry of Navy, Army and Air Army.
MUSIC CONCERT
The Music Unit of the Tercio de Levante, will offer a commemorative concert in the Plaza del Cartagena City Hall on Friday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m., after the Solemn Flag Arriate.
This year the concert will be dedicated to the "Commemoration of the Battle of Lepanto", and will have a musical repertoire of the three Armies.
GUIDED VISITS TO THE ARTAIN OF CARTAGENA
On Saturday, October 12 there will be guided visits to the Arsenal of Cartagena in two passes, at 10.30 and at 12.00, which will include the visit to the Submarine Base (Historic Hall).
VISITS TO VESSELS
The “Duero” cazaminas will be docked at the Alfonso XII wharf and the “Audaz” maritime action ship at the Cruceros wharf, in the port of Cartagena, and can be visited on Saturday, the 12th from 11.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
STATIC EXHIBITION OF MATERIAL
On the esplanade of the port of Cartagena, material from the Countermeasure Measures Force, Navy Diving Center, Special Naval War Force, Aircraft Regiment No. 73, General Air Academy and Squadron of Paratroopers (EZAPAC) will be exhibited and Military School of Skydiving "Mndez Parada" of the Alcantarilla Base.
The visiting hours will be on Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
CANINE UNIT EXHIBITION
The Cinological Unit of the Tercio de Levante de Marines, will hold on Saturday 12 two exhibitions in the esplanade of the port from 12.00 to 12.30 pm and from 18.00 to 18.30 hours.
ARMADA INFORMATION POINT AND NAVIGATION SIMULATOR
On Saturday 12, in the esplanade of the port from 11.00 to 18.30, there will be an information point of the Navy of the Office of Support to the Navy Personnel in Cartagena.
