Yesterday, the deputy spokesman of MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez, along with the mayor of Cartagena in the Consistory, Isabel García, Enrique Pérez and Arantxa Pérez, held a meeting with representatives of neighborhood groups of Molinos Marfagones.

The meeting took place in the social premises of the neighborhood and had as main objective to review different actions of MC in terms of mobility and accessibility as well as agreeing others in the same direction that will be taken to the next plenary session.

At the meeting, Giménez gave an account of the motion passed during the last plenary session in which the local government, at the request of MC, pledged to demand that the Regional Executive, in the elaboration of the draft Regional Budget of 2020, "contemplate the necessary financial resources to carry out the improvement actions for access to Cartagena through the west. It is a project with double lanes and several roundabouts, valued at more than five million euros, which is currently only in tender known as the roundabout of Viña del Mar ".

"We will be vigilant so that 'La Trinca' meets a minimum. Unable to manage or generate resources, at least, they will have to remind the 'yours' that with the development of the Rambla Plan there is no excuse to sustain more years of contempt for this municipality area ".

Subsequently, the leader of MC lamented "the insolvency of 'La Trinca' to not modify the end of the route of line 6, passing from the Marfagones Mills to the urbanization Buenos Aires. Little seems to care about the danger situations that are generated daily for users who are forced to walk on the road, endangering the physical integrity of those who travel along the shoulder. "

Upcoming initiatives

Already in the future, Jesús Giménez has advanced the intention of his formation to present a motion in the next plenary session to "promote a cycle path that a Marfagones Mills with the urbanization Buenos Aires. Since the Government refuses to solve the problems of mobility of those who reside there, we urge you to allow them to make this route safely by executing this action.In the same way, in the field of accessibility, we will ask that various sections of sidewalk be widened in the locality that, currently , are practically impassable because of their narrowness ".

The meeting continued with an enriching debate that concluded with the diagnosis of needs for the neighborhood in relation to playgrounds or the absence of nursery.

Finally, the neighbors informed the representatives of MC about their efforts for the future achievement of an adequate space for the installation of a Day Center for the elderly, infrastructure very in demand by the population.
