The fall season of the Alternative Leisure Time program T-LA of the Department of Youth offers for this last quarter of the year more than 70 activities, aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years and in which a total of 17 associations participated / entities.
Among the most demanded, as highlighted by the Councilor for Youth, David Martinez, during the presentation of the new programming of the T-LA, 'departures, and in this quarter you should not miss the visit, on December 22, to the Pulpí Geode, a mine upholstered by plaster crystals, whose transparency and conservation status make it a jewel of nature and unique phenomenon worldwide given its dimensions and the perfection of it '.
In addition, on November 30, and given the success of participation last fall, the T-LA organizes a cultural outing to the city of Granada.
As for the programmed training courses and workshops, the ones of initiation to the drums, electric guitar, comic and illustration, breakdance, dubbing or theater among others stand out.
On the other hand, the Youth Center of Quarries reopens its doors with the theoretical-practical talks of the Astronomy Nights to learn, among other things, the curiosities of the planets of our solar system.
An obligatory appointment in the program is the Interasociativo Meeting and Artisan Market that will take place on October 19 and 20 on the port promenade, and also, as every fall, the Urban Culture and Sports festival, UrbanCTFest, will be held. on November 9 in the Urban Sports Park of Cartagena.
The paleontological route, Castle of the Moors, Elves and Bruges and the Legend of Artaban are incorporated in the theatrical routes section - the fourth Magician King.
Also included are sports and adventure activities, such as climbing and hiking, and cooking workshops with the rice master, fresh pasta or Christmas cookies, which will add flavor to the quarter.
And as every year, and on the occasion of the celebration of Halloween, on Thursday, October 31, various activities will be carried out, all of them free, such as a short film making workshop with mobile phones, a scary night at the Autopsy Pavilion aimed at all audiences and in which stories, legends and psychophonies will be told ... and the already traditional horror short films "Sometimes I see Shorts" that this year celebrates its V edition, and that will be screened at the Resource Center Youth from 22:00 hours.
As in each edition, the audience will be in charge of deciding with their votes the winning short film of the prize valued at 500 euros.
To close this terrifying night, the mayor of Culture announced that 'the streets of the city center will be the scene of the historical recreation of a funeral pomp where all the elements of the funeral rite can be identified, from the arrival of death to the transit to the hereafter '.

SUMMER T-LA MEMORY
The technician responsible for the T-LA Program, José María Lloret, has taken stock of the program developed by Youth during the summer months, which was closed with the participation of 3,106 young people.
A total of 90 activities were scheduled, of which some had to be suspended due to the cold drop, including the scheduled trip to Formentera '.
The activities with the most successful participation were once again the exits, such as the trip to Asturias, the Water Park, the City of Sciences and cultural escape to Córdoba.
Astronomy nights at the Canteras Youth Center registered more than 300 participants, and more than 400 in nautical activities, also highlighting the important participation of young people in the theatrical routes and the Cabo de Pop festival.
Finally, Lloret pointed out the celebration of the Youth Volunteer Camp 'Go down to the sand and touch history', where 25 young people from different locations in Spain gathered in Cartagena to carry out cataloging and inventory of materials of the Roman Amphitheater, between other activities.
