The Mandarache Project of Reading Education, promoted for 15 years by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena, has been selected as a good practice along with other projects throughout Europe that promote youth participation and critical thinking through literature .

Young Producers', whose objective is to promote the participation of young people in cultural and literary life as a form of empowerment, is led by Pen Catalá together with three institutions located in Sweden, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Thus, for thirty months about 40 literary experiences from 10 European countries have been selected and mapped, some of which, among them the Mandarache Project, have been invited to the final conference of the project, which will take place at the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, ​​this Thursday, October 10.
During the day, entitled 'LiterACCIÓN', international representatives will meet who will share experiences and reflections on equality and diversity in the access to culture of young people and will present the results of the research, conducted to analyze the most important factors. relevant of the participating initiatives.
Specifically, the Mandarache Project, which will start its fifteenth edition in the coming weeks, will participate in a round table moderated by Óscar Carreño (coordinator of the Reading Action Program of Barcelona) together with the 'Letters and Soccer' project of the Athletic Club Foundation Bilbao
