This Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, the Port of Cartagena will experience the culmination of the sailing season in the municipality: the II Spanish Armed Trophy of Latin Candle 21 palms.
More than a dozen boats will participate in the regatta that this year has been included in the events scheduled by the V centenary of the first circumnavigation to the world.
The event has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.
The second deputy mayor and councilor of the Tourism Area, Manuel Padín, presented the event accompanied by the president of the Naval Regatta Commission of the Navy in Cartagena, Colonel Fulgencio Jumilla;
the president of the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, Arturo García;
the president of the Santa Lucia Yacht Club, Diego Varela, and the Vela manager of this club, Javier Martínez.

The competition will consist of two sleeves.
The first, on Saturday, October 12, will begin at 5 pm from the Whale Tail of the Port of Cartagena.
The final route of the race will depend on the direction of the wind, but, according to the technical manager of the test, Javier Martínez, the boats will go in the direction of milk.
On Sunday, October 13 at noon, the second and final race of the tournament will begin, in which the boats will leave the Old Regatta Club and arrive at the boat dock, where the Whale Tail is located.
La Vela Latina is a Cultural Interest Property recognized by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
