Juan Ramón García, of the Mandarache Cartagena club, and Paloma Sánchez, of the Elche Athletic Youth, crowned the podium last Saturday in the IV edition of the 10KCPC Puerto de Cartagena popular race, which brought together more than 800 athletes.
The test, organized in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, by the Port Authority next to the CD Runtriton Cartagena, had different modalities.
The day began with a hiking trail, races were also held for the little ones in the categories of Alevín, Benjamín and Infantil, a 4.5 km race and, finally, the 10 km queen test, scoring for the Running Challenge , popular racing league of the Murcian Athletics Federation.
The Councilor for Sports, Diego Ortega, was present at the start of the general event, accompanied later in the awards ceremony at the Royal Regatta Club by the Vice Mayor, Noelia Arroyo, the mayor delegate of Heritage, María Amoraga, the General director of Sports, Francisco Javier Sánchez, and the director of the Port Authority, Fermín Rol.
With departure and arrival in Heroes of Cavite, the race was also marked by the solidarity character, where the proceeds from the inscriptions will go to the Pablo Ugarte Association against childhood cancer.
