The Barriada Hispanoamérica celebrates between Saturday 5 and Sunday 13 October its festivities on the occasion of Hispanic Day with a varied program of events that includes sports championships, musical performances and gastronomic tastings.
The parties are organized by the Neighborhood Association of the Latin American Neighborhood, in collaboration with the Department of Celebrations, Transparency and Decentralization of the City of Cartagena and the Neighborhood Board of Los Dolores.
The celebrations start this Saturday, October 5, at 9:00 p.m., at the Social Venue, with the Proclamation of Festivities, which will be borne by the first founding partner of the Neighborhood Association of the Latin American Neighborhood, Ceferino García, and who will attend the delegated councilor of Transparency, General Services and Electronic Administration, Alejandra Gutiérrez.
Subsequently, the election of Misses and Mister of this year's celebrations and the musical performance of Sergio Almagro and Adrián Ruiz will take place.
As for the competitions, there will be petanque, caliche, dominoes, auctioning and parcheesi championships as well as the Trophy of Futsal Fiestas Barriada Hispanoamérica, which will also be held on Saturday, October 5, starting at 10 am.
Sunday 6 will be the day of the girls and boys, from 18 hours, with inflatables for the little ones, as well as chocolate with scones.
This same day will take place the biker lunch and a parade of models.
The nights will be enlivened by Dúo Minerva, Grupo Nerea, the choreographic group New Syle Dance CT, a car.
Also, the program includes several exhibitions: one of crafts and bobbin and another of paintings.
The gastronomy will also have an important weight, with a contest and tasting of paellas, chocolate tastings and churros, which will be on Sunday 6, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13, at the end of the holidays.
The big day, how could it be otherwise, will be on Saturday 12, coinciding with the Virgen del Pilar and Hispanic Day, with a Mass at noon enlivened by the choir and dances of Virgen de Los Dolores, which the tribute to the elders and the oldest member of the Elderly Club of the Neighborhood and a vermouth dance will happen.
On the other hand, on Saturday 12, at 5:30 p.m., the III Solidarity March of Hispanidad will take place.
Registration for the same will be worth 1 and 2 euros, for children and adults respectively, and the proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Association.
