From this Friday, October 4 and until Sunday, October 6, Cartagena hosts the Meeting of Women's Associations of the municipality next to the Heroes de Cavite Square.
A total of 47 stands of more than thirty women's groups will exhibit pieces of jewelry, books, handicrafts and information about the associations participating in the fair.
These days have the organization of the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has visited the different positions that this Friday, October 4, have begun their activity for the public next to the city's Port.
The first mayor of the city has stressed that “there are all kinds of stands where each citizen can be interested and check what an association does that is at a point or a service that has to do with the world of women and equality".
In this sense, Castejón has taken the opportunity to remember that Cartagena is organizing these sixteenth National Congress of Breastfeeding at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
Among the participating entities, two stand out for the first time: the Association of Feminist Gypsies for Diversity and that of those affected by the Endometriosis of Cartagena.
Both associations want to reflect their social demands and the problems they face every day.
There are also franchise positions such as Little Moma and Santa Ana, La Aparecida or La Vaguada.
“They are brave women, many of them anonymous who sometimes go unnoticed, and today we are going to put a face on everyone, because each one does a commendable job,” says the mayor of Cartagena.
This fair of women's associations in Cartagena is the first of several to be held during the month of October.
"We are going to have the oldest, the commerce one too, and the youth, which is full of effervescence because in the end they always end up impressing us with all their news" said the first mayor of the city, Ana Belén Castejón.
