The Cartagena Fire Department has received one of the Police Distinctions granted by the Roquetas de Mar City Council, in recognition of the work carried out by the body that participated in September last year in the rescue of some residents of the town of Almeria who had got caught after a traffic accident.
Such distinction, which was communicated by the mayor of Roquetas, Gabriel Amat, to the head of the Cartagena Fire Station, acknowledges the actions carried out by firefighters of the Cartagena City Council for the release of the occupants of a vehicle where the five members were involved of a family, two adults and three minors, being able to save the life of four of them.
The act of delivery, which was attended by one of the distinguished Cartagena firefighters, took place yesterday, Wednesday, October 2, coinciding with the holiday of the patron of the Local Police of Roquetas de Mar, in the Castle of Santa Ana.
