Fundación Repsol has opened the registration period for schools that want to participate in the next edition of the Energy with awareness education program.
Those interested should fill out the form before October 14.
Energy with awareness is an educational program of Fundación Repsol that takes students in 3rd and 4th ESO different practical and educational activities so that, in a playful way, they are aware of the need to be responsible in the use of energetic resources.
With the help of their teachers, students will develop an energy audit simulation of their educational centers, learning how, with small gestures, you can save on energy consumption bills.
In addition, the best reports can participate in the Energy Championship with awareness, exposing their proposals to be more efficient.
The two best centers will receive a cash prize to implement the improvements included in the audit.
In addition, this project highlights the collaboration of Repsol volunteers, who share a school day with the students.
Volunteers are professionals of the energy company, who carry out different experiments and dynamics together with the students, in which, among many other things, they help them assemble electrical circuits, compare different insulators or discover how much energy the devices consume in their day by day, such as computers, chargers or microwaves.
Until October 14, the educational centers of the Region of Murcia may register to develop this educational program through the form on fundacionrepsol.com, where you can also consult the Energy participation bases with awareness.
Fundación Repsol will provide all materials and participation is free.
Several educational centers in the Region of Murcia have already participated since the launch of this program.
In the last edition, the IES Miguel de Cervantes de Murcia reached the national final by winning the first prize.
This project is developed in educational centers located in Madrid and in the surroundings of the industrial complexes of Repsol and Petronor in Cartagena, A Coruña, Puertollano and Vizcaya.
