Torres Park will be the scene of the inclusion this Saturday, October 5, with the 7th edition of the El Grito solidarity concert by ASIDO Cartagena, which this year will feature performances by Murcian Hams with Heels and Karmacadabra cartageneros.
It was this Tuesday, October 1, when the event was officially presented by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, together with the president of ASIDO Cartagena, Juan Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by the children of the association and teachers.
The concert will serve to "raise awareness and generate visibility" began the mayor, "in Spain there are 4 million people with different abilities and today still face visible and invisible barriers."
That is why it highlights the great sensitivity and the ability to overcome the association in Cartagena with actions such as this, whose collection will be destined to the educational inclusion of children with Down syndrome and intellectual disability.
For this reason, the City Council will transfer the space of the Torres Park auditorium, where the musical groups will act from 10 pm also in an altruistic way, “full inclusion must be the dream that will lead us all to continue working,” he concluded Castejón
Thus, the charity concert will fulfill a double objective: raise awareness about the importance of social integration from an early age, but also raise funds for the project carried out by ASIDO Cartagena.
It is an initiative in which boys and girls with Down syndrome in ordinary schools learn and have fun together and have equal opportunities with teachers and monitors of the association offering support in the classroom.
Tickets can still be obtained at a price of 6 euros in Carrots Reserved Area (Alameda de San Antón) Mister Witt coffee (San Roque), the Youth Resources Center (Alfonso XIII promenade) and in the association itself (Santa Ana polygon ).
They can also be purchased at the box office from 8pm on the same day of the event.
"This year is a special concert," said the president of the association during the presentation, "ASIDO Cartagena celebrates 25 years of great effort, where fathers, mothers, grandparents and all who compose it are betting on the quality of life and a effective inclusion in society ”.
