The Cartagena formation will present an initiative to the next municipal Plenary so that the Local Government will call, as soon as possible, the tenders of all the canteens of social premises that appear vacant, as well as those that are still occupied do not have the corresponding contract or administrative document, reinforcing for it, if necessary the personnel assigned to the service of Patrimony of the City council.
The mayor of MC Cartagena, Isabel García, has revealed that "when we arrived at the Government we found that many of the canteens of the social premises were without a contract, starting the Decentralization Department to work to regularize this situation at the direction of the mayor José López. "
In this way, he added, "it began to verify those that had a contract and those that did not, but this action did not become a priority for the socialist councilor Juan Pedro Torralba."
García explained that "the use of the canteens located in the social premises is regulated both in the Regulation of goods of the Local Entities and in the Law of Patrimony of the Public Administrations, establishing that the procedure foreseen for its adjudication is the one of regime competitive competition. "
Likewise, the Councilor of MC has revealed that "as established in the Regulations for the Functioning of Social Premises it is the Neighborhood Associations who must inform the responsible councilor of the need to provide the canteen service, sending the Proposal to the City Council's Heritage service for the public call for occupation of said canteen or cafeteria. "
Finally, he regretted that "there are currently many vacant canteens and many unemployed people interested in attending them, although tenders do not take place as quickly as necessary."
