The National Museum of Underwater Archeology of Cartagena ARQVA has inaugurated on the morning of September 26 the exhibition 'The dream.
The first travel around the world.
The longest trip ', a sample that can be visited until January 26, 2020, which tells the first round the world by boat from Fernando de Magallanes and Juan Sebastián Elcano.

'The dream.
The first travel around the world.
The longest trip 'pays tribute to the V centenary of the round trip by boat of both explorers.
This is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Spanish Cultural Action.
Its curator, Antonio Fernández, has affirmed that the return to the world by boat is "the greatest maritime adventure of History, since it is the end point for the beginning of the Modern Age".
In addition, he pointed out that in this case "the reality of the trip's own history surpasses fiction."
During the tour, attendees can find travel books, scenarios and reproductions of the adventure that Elcano and Magallanes lived in Victoria.
It also reflects the entrepreneurial nature of the expedition between 1518 and 1519, which culminated a trip that was a turning point since then in the history of exploration.
Antonio Fernández explained that visitors will find in this exhibition "a nod to the trip to the Moon and the Apollo program" because the V centenary of the world tour by boat coincides this year with the 50th anniversary of the arrival of man on the Moon .
The exhibition arrives at the National Museum of Underwater Archeology after passing through Valladolid, Tordesillas, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Sevilla or San Sebastián.
These cities contributed in one way or another to carry out this first circumnavigation to the world.
The curator of the exhibition has concluded by highlighting that the choice of placing this exhibition in Cartagena is because it has "a historic port" and "many Cartagena were navigators of several important maritime adventures."
