The Polytechnic University of Cartagena today welcomed international students who will study in the UPCT classrooms during this four-month period.
The newcomers are 216 between Erasmus and Latin American, 18% more than last September.
The number of international students in the UPCT will grow even more with those who come to carry out only the second semester (138 last year) and with other mobility programs such as Erasmus scholarships for students of the Maghreb (51 students for this year) and, For the first time this course for India and Nepal, the specific agreements with China (60 students are expected), India (40) and Singapore (40), as well as the INPS scholarships for Italians who take masters of Mare Nostrum Campus.
Italians (47), French (42) and Poles (33) lead the most numerous nationalities among the Erasmus group this four-month period.
In total, Erasmus comes from 20 European countries and Turkey.
Especially the number of Latin Americans who attend UPCT has increased, 46% more than last year.
The welcome ceremony, held at the Faculty of Business Sciences, was attended by the Director General of Universities, Josefina García León, and the Vice Chancellor for Internationalization, José Manuel Ferrández.
