The Port of Cartagena will be the sporting protagonist this Saturday, September 21, with the celebration of the XXVIII edition of the Cartagena Port swim “Carthagineses and Roman Trophiesâ€, which will host more than 200 swimmers among all its categories, in addition of the celebration of the traditional Dragon Boat and the IV UPCT Water Polo Tournament 'City of Cartagena', linked to the celebration of the Carthaginian and Roman celebrations.
Organized as every year by the Cartagena Ancora Marine Swimming Club in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena and the Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia, has been presented this Friday, September 20, at the City Hall of the hand of the vice mayor and councilor of the Sports Area, Noelia Arroyo, along with the president of the Federation, Ricardo Martínez, and Francisco Domínguez by the Club and technical director of the event.
With departure from the Real Club de Regatas, where you can see from the beginning until the arrival of the swimmers, the test will be scored for the Open Water Circuit of the Region of Murcia, being its last event.
Divided into two routes, it will begin at 10 am first with the 600m crossing for the smallest of the Prebenjamín, Benjamín and Alevín categories.
The competition will continue at 11h with the rest of the categories that will cover 1600m, from children's onwards differentiated in male and female.
