This Thursday, September 19, a new meeting of the Local Housing Board has taken place.
In it, the work carried out in recent years by the Housing Assistance and Intermediation Service has been highlighted, such as the municipal ordinance regulating the registration of housing claimants and adjudicating protected housing.
The vice mayor and councilor of the Area of ​​Social Welfare of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo and the mayor delegate of Social Services, Mercedes Garcia have chaired the meeting.
Members of the Bar Association, of the Attorney General of Cartagena, banks, mortgage affected platform, real estate associations and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Region have participated.
To start the work this course that begins, the SAVI has agreed with the FAVCAC and the PAH to initiate a contact wheel with all the Neighborhood Associations, to publicize directly in each neighborhood the resources offered by the City Council of Cartagena.
It is thus intended to maintain a more direct contact with the citizen and collect those issues that concern them, understanding that each area has its own idiosyncrasy and its own problem.
From the Department of Social Welfare, they have pledged to support as many initiatives arise from these Working Groups and have conveyed to those present their thanks for the collaboration and contributions made around the housing issue.
