The Association of the Historical Novel of Cartagena together with the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena bring us, one more year, ten days full of activities around the dissemination of history with cycles of conferences, which will be carried out by the culture and Cartagena heritage, along with meetings of authors who will present their works in the auditorium of the legendary Roman Theater.
The activities and the poster of the XX Week of the Historical Novel of Cartagena, based according to its author on an old image of the Port of Cartagena seen from the Torres Park, have been presented this Tuesday, September 17, at the City Hall of the hand of the Councilor for Tourism, Manuel Padín, together with the president of the Association of the Week of Historical Novel of Cartagena, Obdulio López, and the author of the cartel, Ángel Mateo Charris.
It will be on Tuesday, October 1, when the activities begin with the cycle of conferences that will be held until Friday, day 4, at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Teatro Romano de Cartagena Foundation in charge of indigenous people of the city.

Tuesday, day 1. 'Underwater Archeology' by Iván Negueruela Martínez, director of ARQUA
Wednesday, day 2. 'El Peral Submarine' by Diego Quevedo Carmona, submarine officer of the Navy in the reserve
Thursday, day 3. 'The Roman Theater of Cartagena' by Elena Ruiz Valderas, Director of the Roman Museum
Friday, day 4. 'Gladiators and amphitheater' by María del Carmen Berrocal, excavation director
The program will continue with a concert offered by the Santa Cecilia de Pozo Estrecho Artistic-Musical Society on Sunday 6th at 12 noon in the Town Hall Square that will have two parts.
The first of them will play the Sighs of Spain, Las Cosarias, Winning Windward, Long Live Spain !, Luisa Fernanda, The Court of Pharaoh, The Grenadier Drum, La Verbena de la Paloma and Spanish Soldier.
While, in the second part, they will be The Wedding of Luis Alonso, The Legend of the Kiss, Spain Cañí, Gallito, El Gato Montés, Boyfriend of Death-Carmen and Francisco Alegre.
During the intermission of the concert, the winner of the XX edition of the Week of the Historical Novel of Cartagena will be presented, which this year falls on the writer and aviation commander Francisco Narla, who will tell us about his award-winning novel, Lain the Bastard.
Likewise, the winner of the 2019 story contest will be announced.
The cycle of meetings will begin on Monday, day 7, with the welcome by the host of the week, Laura Conesa, at 7:45 p.m.
All of them will be at 20h in the auditorium of the Teatro Romano Foundation next to the Town Hall Square until Friday 11, each day with two authors and the signing of books at the end of the presentations.

Monday, day 7. Cristina López Barrio, finalist for the 2017 Planet Award, will present her award-winning novel, 'Fog in Tangier' and share a table with José Ángel Abab who will reveal her first work on the canton of Cartagena, 'Silk mandrel'.
Tuesday, day 8. María Dueñas will tell us about her work in general and Javier Pellicer will present the novel 'Leones de Aníbal'.
Wednesday, day 9. Isabel Abenia will tell us about her work 'The Last Sibyl' and Jorge Molist will present her novel 'Song of Blood and Gold'
Thursday, day 10. Lucía Santamaría Nájara will discuss her novel 'La Justicia de Cambises' and Teo Palacios author of 'Ashes and Death' will present his work.
Friday, day 11. Rafaela Cano will tell us about his successful novel 'La Senda del Rey' and the finalist of the 2018 Planet Award, Ayanta Barilli, will present his work 'A dark violet sea'
